The International Undergraduate Mathematics Research Poster Competition (IUMRPC) is an international research poster competition organized by the Center for Mathematics and Society, Faculty of Science, Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR), Bandung, Indonesia. First held in 2027, the competition aims to provide undergraduate students in mathematics and related fields with an opportunity to present their original research through academic posters. The research may be either completed or ongoing, including research conducted under the supervision of academic staff. The topics of submitted posters are grouped into five categories: Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Optimization and Dynamics, Mathematics and Educational Mathematics, and Interdisciplinary Mathematics.
IUMRPC is conducted entirely online, with a simple competition format consisting of only one round. Each participant submits one research poster written in English in PDF format. There is no oral presentation, no requirement for on-site attendance, and participation in the competition is free of charge. All posters must be prepared and submitted individually and must present the participant’s original research. The submitted posters are subsequently evaluated by a panel of judges. Eligible participants are classified into four award categories: Gold Medal, Silver Medal, Bronze Medal, and Successful Participant. Every eligible participant receives an electronic certificate indicating their award category.
Participation in IUMRPC is strictly by invitation only. Only students enrolled in academic programmes that have received an invitation directly from the Head of the Undergraduate Programme in Mathematics at UNPAR are eligible to participate in IUMRPC. Students from programmes that have not received an invitation are not permitted to participate in the competition. Heads of academic programmes interested in participating in future editions of IUMRPC may request an invitation by contacting the Head of the Center for Mathematics and Society via email at kapusdi_mm.fs@unpar.ac.id.
