Asosiasi Asuransi Jiwa Indonesia (AAJI) collaborated with Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR) to hold a seminar with the theme “Cross-Disciplinary Involvement in the Development of the Life Insurance Industry” / “Keterlibatan Lintas Disiplin Ilmu Pembangunan Industri Asuransi Jiwa” on Friday, June 17, 2022, in a hybrid format. Some participants attended in person at the Lecture Theater, 9th Floor, PPAG2 South Tower Building, UNPAR, Bandung. Other participants joined online via the Zoom platform.
The guest speaker was the Chairman of the AAJI Board of Directors, Mr. Budi Tua Arifin Tampubolon, Maitrise, MM, AAIJ, FSAI, AMRP. The topic discussed revolved around the life insurance industry from a macro perspective. In his presentation, Mr. Budi also invited academics from various disciplines to participate in the development of the life insurance industry, whether through research activities, research support, or human resource development programs in the life insurance sector under the collaboration between AAJI and UNPAR. Other speakers who attended the event were Dr. Benny Hadiwibowo, S.Si, MM, FSAI, CNLA, AAIJ, AAK, AMRP, QIP, CPLHI, FLMI, ARA. The topics discussed were related to the types, work units, duties and responsibilities, and legal aspects of insurance companies. Every insurance company is required to have at least one actuary. He also explained the duties and responsibilities of an actuary within the scope of their work unit.
Selain dari acara Seminar Hybrid, terdapat pula acara penandatanganan MoU antara AAJI dan UNPAR, serta penandatanganan MoA antara AAJI dan Fakultas Teknologi Informasi dan Sains (FTIS) UNPAR. MoU ditanda tangani oleh Bapak Budi Tampubolon yang mewakili AAJI dan Bapak Mangadar Situmorang, Ph.D yang mewakili UNPAR.
