Student Association

The Mathematics Study Program Student Union (HMPSMa) is a platform for all students of the Mathematics Study Program to develop their interests, talents, and potential, both academically and non-academically, while fostering a sense of community and social awareness within the association and the surrounding society. The Mathematics Study Program Student Union has the following logo.

The elements of the logo of the Mathematics Study Program Student Union carry the following meanings.

1. The circular shape symbolizes the unity of purpose and solidarity among all students of the Mathematics Study Program. It also represents continuity and coherence in logical and systematic thinking.
2. The color blue symbolizes calmness, intellectuality, and confidence. It reflects the character of students of the Mathematics Study Program, who approach problems with clarity, critical thinking, and rationality.
3. The Σ (Sigma) symbol represents the accumulation of knowledge and the importance of seeing the whole as more than just the sum of its parts. Students of the Mathematics Study Program are continuously encouraged to think holistically.
4. The π (pi) symbol represents the enduring nature of the Mathematics Student Association, which continually regenerates year after year. In addition, it reflects the spirit of Mathematics Study Program students to keep exploring the infinite.
5. The √ (square root) symbol represents a strong and solid foundation. Students of the Mathematics Study Program are expected to build a firm base during their studies and through participation in organizational programs, as preparation for their future.
6. The ∫ (integral) symbol represents adaptation, transformation, and growth. It reflects the contributions of Mathematics Study Program students to the process of sustainable development, both academically and socially.

The Mathematics Study Program Student Union has a series of work programs that are continuously updated each year. The following are some of the regular programs organized by the Mathematics Study Program Student Union.

1. The UNPAR Mathematics Competition (KOMAT) is an annual event organized by the Mathematics Study Program Student Union in collaboration with the Mathematics Study Program, and has been held since 1995. KOMAT is open to junior and senior high school students from across Indonesia, with the aim of enhancing their interest and abilities in mathematics. 2. Company Visit is one of the work programs of the Mathematics Study Program Student Union, aimed at directly introducing students to the professional world. Through this activity, students visit companies that are relevant to the areas of specialization offered in the Mathematics Study Program at UNPAR. This program serves as a bridge between academic life and the professional world, providing students with a real-world perspective on how mathematics is applied in the workplace.
3. Math Club is an academic program run by the Mathematics Study Program Student Union. It is designed as a collaborative learning space held regularly twice a month, focusing on topics relevant to current coursework. In addition, Math Club organizes midterm and final exam tutoring sessions (Tutor UTS/UAS), conducted approximately seven days before the exams. This program aims to help students gain a deeper understanding of their course materials and better prepare for their exams.
4. Matematika Mengajar (Mathematics Teaches) is a community service program organized by the Mathematics Study Program Student Union, focusing on education. In this program, students visit an orphanage and provide direct mathematics instruction to the children. The lessons are delivered in a fun, interactive manner and are tailored to the children’s level of understanding.
